Novostavba autopůjčovny Avis, postavená u silnice spojující město Bozeman s blízkým letištěm, je příkladem, jak může poloha stavby inspirovat autora k zajímavému a originálnímu architektonickému řešení. Vzhledem k poloze u frekventované silnice, kudy auta projíždějí značnou rychlostí, je hlavní fasáda budovy záměrně výtvarně koncipována jako elegantní billboard firmy Avis na působivém pozadí pohoří Bridger Mountains.

Location:
The AVIS building is located on the frontage road, a busy connection between the town of Bozeman and the Gallatin Field Airport.

Program:
The program called for 2,240 square feet of warehouse, maintenance service and garage, and 1440 square feet of office space.

Design - Concept:
A wood structural system is used on a four-foot grid with a metal and glass facade. The design concept takes into account the character of the AVIS corporation, the cars, the red color, and the location on frontage road where traffic passes at 60 mph. The result is the creation of a billboard building advertising AVIS in front of the Bridger Mountains.
